JUVE Award as Law Firm of the Year White Collar Crime and Tax Criminal Law
GAZEAS NEPOMUCK has been awarded this year’s prestigious JUVE Award as Law Firm of the Year White Collar Crime and Tax Criminal Law 2023 by the renowned German publisher JUVE. The annual JUVE Awards are considered the most important distinction within the law firm industry. The best commercial law firms in Germany are honoured for their client work and market positioning.
The laudation on our firm says: “The diversity of these mandates speaks for the law firm’s remarkable acceptance in the market and among clients: seemingly effortlessly, it manages to bring even politically heated proceedings to a successful conclusion without burning its fingers”. In this context, the “entire range of legal advice” provided by our law firm is highlighted. “It ranges from prevention and ombudsman work to the defence and recovery of funds”. This picture is “completed […] by prominent defences, such as that of an ex-CEO of Adler Real Estate, and political involvement, such as constitutional law work for German Liberal Party (FDP) representatives.” Name partner Dr Nikolaos Gazeas is “still described as a eminent authority” in the field of extradition law.
We are pleased about this special award. We see our way of work as a still young law firm in the 6th year after its foundation confirmed.
According to the JUVE Handbook of Commercial Law Firms 2023/2024, our firm is “firmly established in individual representation in White Collar Crime.” It goes on: “There has also been a significant increase in their involvement on the side of companies, whether as injured parties or in defence of companies. This shows not only the growing acceptance overall, but also the good networking with numerous civil law firms that call on GAZEAS NEPOMUCK.” Furthermore, our firm “is considered an excellent address for extradition issues.” GAZEAS NEPOMUCK offers “a considerable range of experience, ranging from classical defence to politically heated proceedings and international cases to ombudsman work. Due to previous work for the German Liberal Party (FDP) representatives, the practice is also very close to the Federal Ministry of Justice. Only a few units of this calibre can credibly offer such a broad range of services.”
The JUVE Handbook of Commercial Law Firms, published annually, is the most important and recognised ranking for commercial law firms in Germany. The ranking is based on interviews with 6,981 lawyers from 1,300 law firms, 1,038 interviews with clients, 3,890 completed research questionnaires from 698 law firms and 6,322 client responses from 2,236 companies.
